Established 1994

The Big Honker Lodge.

9 miles west of Knox City. Four buildings, nine bunk rooms, a commercial dining hall, and 30 years of family hosting.

The Lodge

A private facility built for groups of all sizes.

Tucked into the country nine miles west of Knox City, with very little traffic and a lot of room. The Big Honker Lodge was built around the same farmhouse Jeff and Tony first leased the 800 acres from — expanded, rebuilt, and turned into the kind of camp that hosts hunters, corporate groups, and family reunions year after year.

All linens and bedding are included — just bring your gear. You may also reserve the entire lodge for a private group, subject to availability.

Breakfast, lunch, dinner. Hot, home-cooked, and served family-style.

30+

Years Hosting

Three decades of weddings, family hunts, corporate trips, and bachelor parties. We've seen it all.

From The Kitchen

Three meals a day. Family-style.

Michelle runs the kitchen. She knows what hunters eat, and when. Most packages include all three meals — here's what a typical day looks like.

Breakfast

Hot, Early, And Worth Showing Up For

Biscuits and gravy, sausage patties, cereal — whatever gets you out the door before the birds wake up.

Lunch

Soups, Sandwiches, And A Salad Bar

A homemade soup of the day, sandwiches (ham, turkey, or salami), a salad bar, and homemade chocolate-chip cookies.

Dinner

Grill Nights & Family Favorites

Grill nights rotate about three nights a week — steaks, pork chops, or chicken — with potatoes, vegetables, salad bar, and a homemade dessert. Other nights it's meatloaf, pot roast, or beef and chicken fajitas. You will not go hungry.

Venue Hosting

Corporate events. Family gatherings. Church socials.

The Big Honker Lodge hosts corporate and group events, camps, church socials, and family gatherings — not just hunts. A private facility nine miles outside town with very little traffic makes it a perfect location for groups of every kind.

You may reserve the entire lodge for a private group depending on availability. If your group is bigger than six and smaller than sixty, the lodge can host you. For details on venue hosting and dates, please contact us.
